Wonder of Life

Synopsis

With musical rhyming lyrics and beautiful illustrations, The Wonder of Life teaches as well as entertains. In a world where the value of life appears disposable, the Bible teaches valuable concepts to the contrary. The authors show how God created humankind as set apart from the animals by forming them in his image. God even breathed his breath of life into these human children, unlike the other creatures. Children will grow in spiritual confidence when they understand how God loves them as precious treasures with whom he desires a personal relationship.

Wonder of Life is a book children will love listening to over and over. The enjoyable rhyming text and bright illustrations make for an entertaining read, but there is so much more. The text affirms what every child yearns to know: God was involved while they were still in the womb, and he has good plans and purposes for all their days. This beautiful story also teaches how precious each life is—not disposable as the culture insists.

 Why?

“Because as Wonder of Life says, each human being is made in God’s image! He breathed his breath into his first human creation and set them apart from all the other plants and animals. If every child grows up realizing these basic truths, they will have confidence that God loves them and desires a relationship with them. They will learn how precious life is. Every single one.”

Are you seeking to teach your children, grandchildren, or others to love, accept and appreciate all people? Then God’s Human Race is an excellent resource. The authors have portrayed biblical truths in a simple and understandable way. This simplicity does not detract from its profound message that God has created each of us in His image. We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-16). Its captivating cover will pique a child’s interest, and the beautiful illustrations will keep them turning pages. Rhyme and cadence appeal to children, and they will soon memorize and repeat these lines over and over. I recommend this book without reservation and with the assurance that you won’t be disappointed!

Why are so many people intrigued by the character of George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life? He was a talented young man with great dreams who ended up living a very different life than he expected because of the life’s unexpected turns. The character of Molly in Joan Benson’s book The Gift is in many ways a female version of George Bailey. She is a talented young female pianist who wins a student audition for the opportunity to play with the Detroit Symphony. Sadly, the Great Depression dashed that dream just as it was beginning to blossom. Like George Bailey, Molly must find ways to overcome the grinding disappoint to discover her own wonderful life. Joan Benson has crafted a delightful tale based on her own mother’s story that is sure to inspire you to pursue your dreams despite all odds.
